Wine Tasting - Argentina, the splender of South America's best wine producing nation

Presented by our resident Sommelier Trevor

The Malbecs of Mendoza are justly adored around the wine-drinking world, and we’ll certainly taste this example of wine in this class—but there are other interesting items, even a surprising white called “Torrontes” that will make you even more of a believer in this country. The Argentines love food, and life, and it is no surprise that they love their wines as well—after all, wine is in integral part of the love of life in most places. From the windswept Pampa, to the high and bitterly cold swaths of Patagonia with mountain scenery more lovely than many can imagine, to the approaches to the Andes where Mendoza sits, to the cultural jewel of this nation: Buenos Aires, justly referred to as the Paris of Latin America, these locations are not out of place in a country whose wines are so exquisitely made, and so excitingly affordable. I might also say these wines are “affable” for their approachability and soft drinkability. Come join us for this exciting class and tasting.
