February 4th

Summer Salads
with Chef Lesa

Tuesday, February 4th | Demonstration $65
5:30pm - 7:30pm

Gear up for summer with Chef Lesa! After months of comfort food, she will teach us the benefits of using good oils, ingredients and proteins to create 3 fresh salads bursting with flavor. The first salad will be a twist on a Caesar, made with shaved brussels, roasted and topped with a divine dressing. Next, we’ll make a Sesame Chicken Crunch featuring cabbage, veggies and dressing. Our lovely evening will finish with a Sicilian Fennel salad with oranges, herbs and a bright citrus dressing.

Galentine’s Night Out

It’s time for a night out with your Gals! Bring your best Galentines to The Culinary Stone for a celebration of friendship…with a little shopping and wine mixed in. We’re hosting local vendors from around the Coeur d’Alene area for a vibrant pop-up shop, where all the ladies can treat themselves to some beautiful jewelry, stylish clothing, fun botanicals and more. You can even sip a glass of wine, craft beer or mocktail while you shop! Artisan charcuterie cups and decadent desserts will also be available for purchase throughout this special event. Don’t miss this chance for a night out with your girlfriends and stay tuned as we continue to add more local vendors!

Kids Pizza Class
with Chef K

Special Event and Time 2:00 - 4:00pm

Bring the kiddos for a fun Saturday in the kitchen making Pizza! Chef K will help her sous-chefs prepare three different kinds: Ham and Pineapple; Pepperoni; and a delicious dessert pizza with Nutella and Fresh Fruit! All they need is an apron, Chef K will have the rest of the ingredients ready for a hands-on afternoon. So drop the kids off and enjoy a glass of wine or craft beer while you wait to try their delicious creations!

February 11th

A Night in Mexico
with Chef Lesa

Tuesday, February 11th | Demonstration $65

Join Chef Lesa to enjoy one of her favorite cuisines! We’ll begin the evening with a Corn and Black Bean Salad tossed with crisp veggies and a creamy cilantro lime dressing. Next, Chef Lesa will teach us how to make Posole - a delicious soup with chicken and hominy, finished with a squeeze of lime. Dessert will be the best! Tres Leche, made with three different milks and topped with fresh cream.

 

February 13th

Valentine’s Dinner To Share at Home
Creating with Chef Lesa

Join Chef Lesa for a night creating a delicious meal for two! We’ll prepare everything together, so that it’s ready for you to take home and serve that special someone on Valentine’s Day. All you need for class is two hands and a few to-go containers! The main course will be Beef Wellington; we’ll get it ready in class, with cooking instructions to use at home when it’s time for dinner. To enjoy with your welly, we will learn how to make Chef Lesa’s famous Potatoes Au Grautin. But let’s not forget the veggies, we’ll have a lovely salad to start your romantic night with your Valentine. Reserve a seat for one or make it a special date night before the big day!

 

February 18th

A Night in the UK
with Chef Kim

Tuesday, February 18th | Demonstration $65
5:30 - 7:30pm

Chef Kim is taking us across the pond for a night making British pub fare! To kick off this fun class will be flaky Sausage Rolls wrapped in a light pastry and served with a mustard cream sauce. For our main course, Chef Kim will teach us how to make a decadent Chicken, Leek and Bacon Pie in a buttery crust, served with creamy Mash and Gravy. To cap off the evening, we will bake some authentic Scottish Shortbread.

 

February 20th

Chinese Takeout: Memories of Bonsai Bistro
with Chef Troy

Thursday, February 20th | Hands-On $75
5:30pm - 7:30pm

In this class, Chef Troy will show us some of the classic Pan-Asian dishes from one of our gone, but not forgotten, downtown favorites - Bonsai Bistro. We will start with a hands-on Pork Potsticker course, accompanied by the famous secret sauce that was prepared at each table. Chef Troy will also show us how to create the velvety winter Asian elixir - Flowering Egg Drop Soup. Next, we will learn how to make a few staple Asian sauces that will have us whipping up Chinese dishes like a pro. Using these sauces, we will make the perfect Shrimp Fried Rice and the iconic Lo Mein Noodles with Stir Fried Vegetables. The night will finish with Mochi Ice Cream and Cookies of fortune!

 

February 21st

Paint & Sip

Friday, February 21st | Special Event $60

You asked for another Paint and Sip class…and we listened! Our talented artist and friend - Chelsea Wheeler - returns to show us how to create another beautiful painting. This time we’ll use the warm colors of spring to awaken a blossoming scene full of flowers, sunshine and whatever else your imagination wants to bring to life. Share the night laughing and learning with us! This inspiring class includes two glasses of wine, as well as savory charcuterie cups and a gourmet dessert prepared by our in-house pastry chef.

 

February 25th

New York Cheesecake
with Chef K

Tuesday, February 25th | Hands-On $60
5:30pm - 7:30pm

One of the best desserts, by far! Chef K is honing in on her East Coast roots to teach us how to make the perfect cheesecake. She will start with a traditional Cheesecake - smooth, rich and creamy, served on a graham cracker crust. Next, Chef K will introduce a berry commonly known throughout the Pacific Northwest as the “king of the blackberries” to make a lovely Marionberry Swirl Cheesecake. Saving the best for last, we’ll learn how to make a Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake with a rich raspberry swirl on an Oreo cookie crust. This will be a great night to take home all the tips and tricks for making an unforgettable cheesecake.

 

February 27th

Cooking Wild: Warm Winter Game
with Chef Troy

Thursday, February 27th | Demonstration $75
5:30pm - 7:30pm

The Cooking Wild adventure continues with Chef Troy! Tonight we will enjoy a tossed salad with Wild Greens and Winter Veggies, while Chef Troy demonstrates a Juniper/Cranberry vinaigrette. Here’s a little secret...this salad will be topped with roasted garlic grouse liver croutons for those who dare. We will then recreate the classic dish, Stuffed Mushrooms using antelope and bacon. Chef Troy will follow up by showing us how to make the old school mining favorite - Venison Pasties. This pastry is a historic culinary treat brought to our tables from the United Kingdom (Cornwall) and has a history dated back as far as the 1200's. Rumor has it that Troy is going to finish this class with a Mountain Cabin Huckleberry Cobbler. Don’t miss this…it’s going to be a wild class!

Our chefs purchase fresh ingredients in preparation for each class, they need an accurate headcount for quantity and for this reason we require 48-hour cancellation notice to receive a full refund or class credit.
