A Night in Mexico
with Chef lesa

Join Chef Lesa for a flavor-packed evening! Birria Street Tacos and all the toppings, with Roasted Salsa made from scratch. Next dish will be Traditional Refried Beans. We’ll finish the night with Elote, sweet corn smothered in a creamy lime cilantro sauce and topped with cotija cheese.

Biscuits Baked to Perfection

Spend an evening with Chef K learning how to make the perfect fluffy biscuit. We’ll focus on three different types of biscuits, including Buttermilk with Honey Butter and a sweet Blueberry. Don’t forget about savory biscuits, Chef K will show us how to make a Chive Bacon with a divine Sausage Gravy! Did someone say breakfast for dinner!?! These warm biscuits will be perfect as the seasons start to change!

Wine & Cheese Pairing Class

Wine and cheese are classic pairings that go together like PB&J. However, there can be a little more to picking out the perfect cheese that pairs with your favorite wine. In this class, The Wine Maven will discuss which cheese pairs best with different styles of wines. Along with learning the science behind wine and cheese pairing, you'll learn some tips and tricks to building the perfect charcuterie board by our very own Chef Lesa. The evening wouldn’t be complete without a special sweet treat, specially handmade for this event by Chef K.

Japanese Night

The sushi OG returns to The Culinary Stone! Chef Troy will work his magic with Chirashi, Fresh Tuna, Salmon and much more. You’ll also learn how to make sushi rice to go along with these Japanese favorites. He’ll end the night showing us how to prepare Cucumber Salad with plum and maybe even a few tricks to take home with you.

Join us for a fabulous night celebrating women in business! The Culinary Stone is proud to host Licensed Therapist Natalie Keese for her latest book release. She will be signing copies of her new book - Soulful Ceremonies - and reading a few excerpts on self care and meditation. This beautiful evening will be filled with small businesses run by women, including clothing, jewelry and more local items for guests to shop, with fun giveaways to enter and WIN. We’ll be offering 10% off your purchase at The Culinary Stone during the event from 5:30 - 7:30pm. Enjoy sips of wine and charcuterie bites with some of the strongest females in our community for an unforgettable night!

Join Chef Lesa for one of her most requested classes! She will make the delicious Laksa Soup, starting with the paste made in mortar and pestle. Next dish will be Char Teow, a boldly flavored rice noodle dish with sausage and prawn. For dessert, we’ll learn how to make a Coconut Banana Cake.

Texas BBQ

Chef Ricky Sawyer is a BBQ champion! We are fortunate to have him join us for a big Texas feast! To start the night, Chef Ricky will be making Moink Balls, beef and pork wrapped in bacon and smoked with okra! The main course will be a perfectly smoked Brisket with Hash Brown Casserole. For dessert, a gently smoked Apple Cobbler that will melt in your mouth. There is a lot to learn from this talented man, you don’t want to miss this class!

Cooking Wild Elk

The evening will start with a Field Greens Salad, where we’ll learn how to make a Huckleberry Vinaigrette. Then Chef Troy will show us how to create a high-end Elk Meatloaf glazed with a Juniper Berry Ketchup that he calls "country pâté". We will enjoy this unique meal with Roasted Garlic Mashed Idaho Potatoes and Sautéed Red Wine Kale. This class will be a staple for anyone looking to learn more about cooking with wild game!

Pie Season Kick Off

The perfect pie crust can be hard to master! Join Chef K as she teaches us the key steps and ingredients to making pie crust from scratch. The night will be filled with three fabulous pies, starting with the heavenly Chicken Pot Pie. Next, Chef K will introduce us to the Traditional Apple Pie…a favorite during North Idaho’s chilly fall days. The night wouldn’t be complete without a Chocolate Cream Pie!
